How We Get the Data
SwishGuide is a directory of AI basketball apps and tools. Our goal is simple: give you accurate, dated facts so you can pick a tool without guessing.
What counts as an “AI basketball tool”
An app, website or open-source project that uses AI or computer vision to help with basketball: shot tracking, form analysis, film and scouting, practice planning, or fantasy and analytics.
Where each fact comes from
- Last updated and version: Apple’s public App Store data (the iTunes lookup API), US store. For Google Play we show a date only when we can confirm it.
- Platforms: the App Store, Google Play, or the developer’s own site.
- Price: shown exactly as the App Store listing or developer site displays it, with the date we read it. App Store listings often show several prices for the same plan, so your own paywall is the final word.
- Descriptions: summarized from the developer’s listing or site.
- Third-party sources: when we use one, we link it.
If we can’t verify something, we leave it blank or say “not shown”. We never guess.
Have we tested these apps?
Mostly no. Unless a page says otherwise, our pages are research-based, not hands-on reviews.
Freshness badges
- Fresh: App Store update in the last 90 days.
- Aging: last update 90 days to 1 year ago.
- Stale: no update in over a year.
How often we refresh
App Store data is checked by a job scheduled every Monday at 11:00 UTC, using Apple’s public lookup API. Google Play dates are not refreshed automatically. Changes land on our updates page. Each page shows the date its data was checked.
Featured listings and affiliate links
App makers can pay for a Featured spot, which is clearly labeled. Some links may be affiliate links, which are marked and disclosed. Neither ever changes an app’s facts, freshness badge or position in non-featured lists.
